Alejandro Pelayo’s concerts for children.

For several years now, the Spanish pianist and composer Alejandro Pelayo (member, together with Leonor Watling, of Marlango), has been giving frequent piano concerts for children. This weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, at 12:00 noon, one of these concerts “for children who like the piano” will be held at the Sala Mirador in Madrid, with pieces with such curious titles as Piano for children who talk about love, Piano for children who jump in puddles, Piano for children who hide broccoli under the tablecloth, Little carousel and Pets. The next sessions of these concerts will take place in the Sala Mirador on 18 and 19 December.

Pelayo is currently completing the songs that will form part of his third solo album, provisionally titled Sobre la piel, which will be released by Altafonte in 2022. The Cantabrian musician has begun to gradually unravel various themes – Dímelo al oído or Ten piedad de mí – that will form part of this next album, which will also include new versions of Remedia Amoris and Umbra, two pieces that appeared on Spotify in 2020, as a result of the lockdown.
