Samy Moussa premieres “Elysium” in Barcelona.
Tonight, at 20:25, La2 TVE will broadcast live the concert that the Wien Philarmonic will perform from inside the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The highlight of the concert will be a performance of Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4 in E flat major “Romantic”, conducted by Christian Thielemann. But before its performance, the orchestra will offer the world premiere of Elysium, by the Canadian composer Samy Moussa (Montreal, 1984), inspired precisely by Bruckner’s “Romántica”, a commission from the Philharmonic to the winner of the 2021 edition of the Juno prize for the musical composition of the year, for his Adrano violin concerto.
