Premiere at L’Auditori by Toshio Hosokawa.

The Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona and Nacional de Cataluña will perform this weekend (Saturday and Sunday, at 19:00 and 11:00 respectively) at the Barcelona L’Auditori the Concerto for horn and orchestra “Moment of Blossoming” by Toshio Hosokawa (Hiroshima, 1955). This is the Spanish premiere of this work by the Japanese composer, who has created a hybrid style between contemporary music and the musical tradition of Japan, which had its world premiere in 2011 at the Berlin Philarmonie. The concert is complemented on this occasion with Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations, op. 36 and Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 3 in E flat, K 447.
