María Parra performs today at Sala Clamores.

The Spanish pianist Maria Parra Peñafiel performs today, Wednesday, at the Sala Clamores in Madrid. Classically trained, she has worked as a repertoire pianist, with two albums published – Rêverie and Mouvement in which she performs composers such as Schumann, Debussy, Albéniz, Granados and Falla, as well as her own pieces – but in 2020 she released Vision on Warner Music, her first album of exclusively her own compositions for piano, in a neoclassical style, which will be the core of tonight’s concert at 21:00, with extra accompaniment by double bassist Miguel Rodrigáñez and drummer Gonzalo Maestre, who have contributed new arrangements between contemporary classical and jazz.
